We're Doing It!

Waking up to a new reality.
Waking up in Austin, Texas.
It wasn’t an overnight whim nor was it entered into lightly or simply. It took courage, introspection and Soul growth. It took many smaller steps towards an uncertain vision that held the possibility of adventuring into new experiences. Trading fear of the unknown and the comforts of the familiar in exchange for the possibility of finding something new out there and, more importantly, something new within ourselves.

I could not have fathomed this odyssey long enough for it to become my reality nor could I have taken the first steps that lead to it without Nick. He holds the space for my outward thoughts and my inward meditations. His stillness calms me and his companionship keeps me brave. He keeps vigil over me that I do not regress into the previous versions of me. It takes new thoughts to shift paradigms. It takes new thoughts to make new choices. Thoughts and choices alone don’t bring about change - taking action brings about change.

I am blessed with Nick. I am also blessed with the Powers that gently closed the book on my previous life and opened a new book of possibilities. I now take new steps into my new probabilities - probabilities that Nick & I are creating with every step we take.

I wake up every morning to a new reality.

We’re doin’ it!

There's an ideology I believe we must embrace at all times: Your life, your choices. Our ability to consciously exercise choice is tapping directly into our divine essence. There's a quote by Carl Jung that has assisted me throughout the years in regard to exercising choice, "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." In my area of work (consultation for those suffering from anxiety and depression), assisting clients with the understanding that they must make the conscious choice every moment of the day to become a better version of themselves is critical to their healing. They must make themselves aware that every decision they make has the support system of the thought, "Is this best for my healing and health?"  I understand that this requires an immense amount of self-awareness and responsibility, but the engagement of "controlling your fate" demands nothing less. So, throughout the day, examin

What knowledge are you applying to your life? You may not be aware that you are applying knowledge and that is the knowledge in which you are applying. The knowledge of unawareness. There are many of us that lack the knowledge of Self therefore applying the lack of knowledge of Self to all areas of life. It's time to hop into the driver seat of your experience of this existence. We must become aware of the Self and the current position of the Self, meaning: You must possess an understanding of who you are, where you are, and how you got there. Those three components allow deeper analysis of your current situation and how you will move forward into future situations. Simply put, you gain a better sense of "control". Acknowledging your Self and all of its pros and cons. Acknowledging the space in which your Self dwells (physically, mentally, emotionally, etc) and all of its pros and cons.  With that information at your disposal, how will you continue to proc
